Bo knows this (what?) and Bo knows that (what?) But Bo don't know jack, cause Bo can't rap

When gut feeling is not enough.

When I was a teenager, my plan was to be a RAPPER. In fact, I even got a record contract with Virgin music. The A&R that scouted us was looking for a young group that could make pop-rap. We were considered a good match.

And that is where their analysis of us and predictions of our future went wrong.

If they would have taken the time to study the artists and rappers we loved and admired, they would have realized that our ambition was more becoming A tribe called quest than Marky Mark (no offense Mark Wahlberg). All our inspiration came from artist such as Nas, Dre, Q-tip, Timbaland etc.

So, what could they have done differently?

Well, to start with, they assumed that just because we were three young kids from the suburbs, we would do anything to become famous and have a career in music. They were right in terms that we would have grit, but wrong in the sense that we would do music we did not love just to reach fame. My question to us would have been, which artist and music do you love and look up to? Picture yourself famous - what do you see? If you were a shoe brand, which one would that be?

They never asked any of that. They just followed their gut feeling.

The whole thing about making predictions is to master the art of asking the right questions. Since I moved from the music industry to running an AI business, I have learnt how to ask questions in order to understand future trends. Now thanks to AI & big data that is something that can be done on a large scale. Through My Telescope, we can help people who want to excel at what they do identify trends and take informed decisions.
