Day 67: 2020-05-27 : Jair Bolsonaro...What a Covidiot.

Today’s global coronavirus predictions show United Arab Emirates and Pakistan to have switched places. The UAE is now at the bottom off the list, and Pakistan is predicted to be the 8th most at risk country in the world, and rising. This is most likely due to reports claiming that Pakistan is under-reporting the number of fatalities from the virus.

In America the states most at risk remain the same with Alabama still in the lead. In terms of figures the state saw its largest single day increase on Monday with 646 new cases, most likely due to an increased rate of testing and restrictions being relaxed in the state to allow businesses to reopen.

South America is also consistent, with Brazil in the lead for another day and it doesn’t look like it will be moving from that spot anytime soon. On Saturday, Brazil overtook Spain and Italy to become the country with the fourth-largest number of infections. On top of this the mayor of São Paulo, Brazil’s largest city, said the health system could collapse as demand grows for emergency beds to deal with coronavirus cases. The city’s public hospitals have reached 90% capacity and could run out of space in two weeks. It’s safe to say the country is struggling due to the confusion and poor leadership of their president Jair Bolsonaro and his approach to COVID-19 throughout the entire pandemic.

Africa predictions and also Sweden’s data remain stable predictions from yesterday.

We are sending our thoughts to those in high risk areas, please take care.
